Neutral Bay Automatic Boom Gate Replacement

We recently conducted a replacement of the automatic boom gate for a large government facility in Neutral Bay.

The existing boom gates of the facility had been damaged by multiple impacts and were no longer operating reliably.

We began by removing and disposing of the two failing boom gate operators, including their disconnection from the access controls in the duty office.

We then supplied and installed a new pair of MBTA60U Heavy Duty Commercial Boom Gates, fitted with 2 × AT706 boom arms and 2 × AT Omega. The existing exit loop detectors and the two sets of photoelectric safety beams were retained and integrated into the new system.

Once the gates were reconnected to the access controls in the duty office, we tested the system, safety devices and controls, then commissioned it as fully operational.

One of the serviceable boom arms removed from the old units was reused on another boom gate at the facility where that arm had been damaged.

The facility is now equipped with a heavy-duty automatic boom gate system compatible with existing safety and access-control equipment.

A serviceable boom arm from the original system was used to replace another damaged boom arm in the facility, avoid necessary spend on new equipment.
